History:
From its inception in 1985 as a pioneer invention of Gee Jay
Group International, the power control module has been a key
component in the Avnan family of products. It has changed significantly
in recent years, continually growing and evolving as Avnan continues
to focus on improving central vacuum controls, adding value
along the way.
Innovation Timeline
1985 - Gee Jay Group International invents
the power control module.
1991 - MCB-3 is introduced (module box assembly
with power cord).
1995 - Avnan Electro Inc. assumes responsibility
for module division.
1999 - Avnan develops intelligent, microprocessor
based controls. New controls now include timing

- functions and pressure sensors for bag full indication.
2001 - Soft start functionality is introduced
on Avnan controls, through the implementation of solid state

- triac.
2002 - Avnan introduces the first ever Variable
Speed Control for central vacuum cleaners. Vacuum speed 2001
- is controlled remotely through the same low voltage
wires, with the addition of a special switch 2001
- mounted in the hose handle.
2003 - Module panel assembly.
2005 - The Easy LV is developed and introduced,
to great acclaim, at the 2005 VDTA convention.

done in-house at our Canadian office by our highly knowledgeable
engineers. Our products are UL/CSA approved, and CE compliant
where required.
Production Capabilities
In addition to our engineering talents, our customers also benefit
from our production facilities. Our ISO 9000 factories in China
enable us to keep costs low, passing the savings on to our customers.
Our factories provide: standard through-hole, double sided boards,
PCB and wire assemblies, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), microprocessor
burning, and LCD capabilities. Avnan’s production facilities
can direct-ship products worldwide, ensuring that you receive
